Air leakage has dramatic effects on energy efficiency, building durability, and occupant comfort. This class will explore why and where air leakage occurs in cold climate buildings, determining the amount of leakage, consequences of air leakage, and what homeowners can do to minimize it. Best practice guidelines for air sealing, with special consideration to combustion safety, will be covered. Tools, materials, and strategies for the do-it-yourselfer will be the focus of this 2-hour class.
