Rob Jordan: Executive Director
Rob joined ACHP in October of 2009 as Executive Director and oversees day-to-day business operations. He has spent most of his adult life working in non-profit management. In addition to acting as a liaison to the board of directors and Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, Rob answers phones and vacuums the floor of our classroom.
Prior to his time at ACHP, Rob was a professor of Communication and Sociology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and prior to that served as director of business development for Integrity Title Group (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). A native of Fairbanks, AK, Rob received his undergraduate degree in Journalism and his M.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Rob is a voracious reader, an avid traveler, and sometimes naturalist. When not working, he can most often be found in a coffee shop, restaurant, enjoying friends, or reading a good book.
Alicia Amberg: Director of Operations
Alicia joined the team in October 2009 as Marketing Director and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2011. She partners closely with the Executive Director to structure and lead effective project management and administrative teams, and oversees operations. Alicia also directs all marketing research, preparation, logistics and campaigns, and helps develop service contracts and proposals.
Alicia received a B.A. from the University of Idaho in both Public in Relations and Corporate Communication, and is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She was named an “Anchorage Mover and Shaker” by the Alaska Journal of Commerce and volunteers for an adolescent health program advisory committee. Highly motivated and the youngest member of the ACHP team, Alicia brings creativity, energy and organization to the office.
Robin Ward: Director of Programs
Robin Ward is the Program Director for ACHP, managing the creation and delivery of the many services and programs.
Robin’s background includes residential construction, subdivision development along with real estate sales and property management. She has been associated with ACHP in many capacities for over 20 years.
Amanda Petumenos: Curriculum Designer
Amanda designs, writes and adds her creative touches to ACHP’s educational materials. Her experience as a teacher and graphic designer in both Alaska and Germany help her build ACHP curriculum in a way based on proven design principles. She can make even Powerpoints look snazzy, thanks to a life-long love of visual art.
Amanda has worked for several educational non-profits and earned degrees in American Studies, Art and a masters in Teaching. She comes from a family of Alaskan craftspeople, including builders, a cooper, woodworkers, welders and seamstresses. She paints in her free time and enjoys life with her baby daughter and husband.
Liz Andres: Special Projects Coordinator
Liz started with ACHP as an Administrative Assistant and is now the Special Projects Coordinator, acting as a liaison between programs and operations and doing most jobs in between! A native of the Midwest, she moved to Alaska after graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College, and has a strong professional background in volunteer organization, event planning, and community outreach.
In addition to being our go-to gal in the office, Liz is currently pursuing a degree in Natural Science from the University of Alaska Anchorage. When she isn’t working on projects for ACHP, she enjoys teaching dance, hiking, and working with animals. She also spends her free time volunteering for various causes, drinking coffee, and catching up on her reading.
